November 4, 2014 —Cole Monroe, M.A., Associate with Smith Marion & Co., LLP based in Brentwood, TN passes all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant exam. The purpose of the CPA exam is to ensure that those who pass hold the skills and knowledge required to be licensed as a CPA. Passing the CPA exam recognizes the individual as knowledgeable of the accounting profession and is an advancement towards becoming a licensed CPA.

Monroe began his career with Smith Marion & Company in August of 2014. He graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in May 2014 and he earned his Masters of Arts in Economics from MTSU in December 2010. Monroe is an audit associate and primarily focuses on Housing Authorities.
